“I have literally been to hundreds of workshops and conferences with many subjects and this was by far the most beneficial to me. All [of] the sessions were extremely practical and the knowledge of the presenters and the other coaches and mentors was very impressive. I am so glad I received this opportunity and am hoping I can do PIIC justice back at the district.” “This is a fabulous program that has real potential to impact education. PD is critical for any change to occur. I learned many new things at the conference that I cannot wait to share with others. I hope that people take advantage of the opportunity.” “I realize how useful PIIC is when I look back to when I started 2 years ago as a new, very lost coach and compare it to where I am now. Thanks to PIIC, I know how to conduct BDA coaching, have created and conducted many professional developments for my school and district, and I have learned about Common Core standards.” “The common core standards are going to create a great opening and need for coaches across all subjects. I learned more about them in the session that I can share with teachers than I have in several others over this year.” “The BDA model is powerful. I intend to include this in my daily practice with my instructional coaches.” “I am struck by the care and attention given by PIIC to build a support system for teachers AND a support system for instructional coaches. The role of instructional coach is pivotal to bringing evidence-based practices into Pennsylvania classrooms.” "Thank you for putting together a great conference. I came away with many new ideas and refreshed old ones." |
